The Associated Press – Milwaukee (AP) A federal judge in Milwaukee on Thursday ordered the city to release hundreds of thousands of records related to the killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner that led to the resignation of two city police chiefs.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer ordered the release of more than 3,000 pages of documents in the case of Brown and Garner, as well as records relating to a grand jury investigation that resulted in a $5 million settlement.

Brown and Garner were shot and killed by Milwaukee police on Aug. 9, 2014.

They died of their injuries.
