House passes Trump nominee’s nomination to run National Labor Relations Board August 9, 2021 August 9, 2021 admin

The House voted on Wednesday to approve Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., as the nominee to head the National Labor Review Board, according to a tally by The Hill.

Conyers is the first nominee for the post, and he will face Republican opposition.

The board, currently made up of 15 people, has the power to enforce labor laws and protect workers.

The Senate is expected to confirm Conyers soon.
