WASHINGTON — The Washington Post newspaper editorial board on Tuesday endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden as the next president of the United States.
The Post said Biden, a former governor of Delaware, would be “the most qualified man for the job.”
“I’ve always believed in Joe Biden,” the newspaper’s editorial board said in a statement.
“He has proven himself to be the most capable, honest and authentic leader we’ve ever had.
His leadership has been a catalyst for economic recovery and change for our country.”
Biden has said he will seek re-election to a second four-year term in 2020.
